Bone broth is often taken as a calcium soup, but tests find only low tens of milligrams of calcium per serving, under 5% of the daily need; it is not a reliable calcium source.
Numbers · The calcium in a bowl
Hsu 2017 tested home-made and shop-bought bone and meat broths: each serving held only low tens of milligrams of calcium and magnesium, under 5% of the daily need. Simmering longer or adding vinegar to draw minerals out does not change the fact that it is not a reliable calcium source.
In practice · Look elsewhere for calcium
To get calcium in earnest, a glass of milk or a piece of gypsum-set firm tofu does far more than bone broth. Drink the broth as soup, but do not count it toward your calcium.
