Alpha-GPC and citicoline (CDP-choline) deliver choline to the brain more directly, at a higher price. One thing no form escapes: when you take in a lot of choline, gut bacteria turn part of it into trimethylamine (TMA), which the liver oxidizes to trimethylamine N-oxide (TMAO); some studies link TMAO to cardiovascular risk, with large differences between individuals.

Both sit on the brain-boosting, anti-aging shelf, but their evidence is not on the same level: the cholines (such as citicoline) have a signal from small trials in vascular cognitive impairment after stroke, while NAD+ precursors in people have not gone beyond changes in blood markers.
These two groups on the brain-supplement shelf work in different ways: the cholines act through acetylcholine and the phospholipids of cell membranes, while adaptogens such as ashwagandha and rhodiola act on the stress-response axis. Different mechanisms and different strength of evidence mean they are not interchangeable.
On the brain-supplement shelf, the combination with small-trial support is caffeine plus theanine: in a trial of 27 people, taking them together made attention switching faster and more accurate. Adding cholines on top has no such evidence. Before stacking, ask what you are trying to fix: attention held down by adenosine, or a shortage of acetylcholine?
