The first lever on how much you eat is not the ratio of the three macronutrients. In Hall 2019, an inpatient crossover trial with calories, macronutrients, sugar, sodium and fiber all matched, people still ate about 500 kcal more a day during the two weeks on the ultra-processed diet; excluding drinks, that diet's energy density was about 85% higher and people ate faster, which may explain it.
